Our Story
My name is Gail Zelinski, the founder of Salski's, LLC. I'm a mom of three wonderful children, and my mini dachshund fur babies! Growing up in Connecticut and moving to Colorado in 1994, my love for skiing and snow made Colorado my home.
I also have a love for gardening, crafting and cooking. My passion for cooking started at a young age, helping my parents and grandparents prepare traditional Polish food from scratch. Our holidays were filled with homemade kielbasa, pierogies, golabki's, and horseradish, and foraging for mushrooms with my Grandma Zelinski.
Every fall, we canned everything from the garden. I remember canning thousands of tomatoes with my Mami. My father would make us sourdough pancakes every weekend. My love of sourdough and canning came from growing up with no chemicals in our canned foods and no preservatives in our breads. I hope to pass on my cooking traditions to my children, and I hope you all love my cooking as much as my children do.
