The secret to Salski's sourdough
What makes Salski's sourdough bread stand out? It's our dedication to a slow, traditional fermentation process, passed down through generations. We use a 100-year-old starter, lovingly maintained daily, which gives our bread its distinctive tangy flavor and chewy texture. For our canned goods, it's about preserving the peak freshness of local ingredients, capturing summer's bounty to enjoy year-round. There's no secret ingredient, just time, patience, and a whole lot of love.

From grain to jar: Our meticulous process
Our sourdough journey begins with freshly milled organic flour and our ancient starter, undergoing a long, cold fermentation that can last up to 24 hours. This slow rise develops complex flavors and makes the bread easier to digest. For our canned goods, we hand-select produce from local Brighton, Colorado farms at its prime. We then meticulously prepare and jar each item using time-honored canning techniques to ensure vibrant flavor and exceptional quality, just like grandma used to make.

Baking with passion, serving with joy
What we love most about baking and canning for you is the connection it creates. There's immense joy in seeing our customers savoring a slice of our sourdough or enjoying a jar of our homemade preserves. We hope that when you enjoy a Salski's item, you feel a sense of comfort, warmth, and the simple pleasure of real, wholesome food. We pour our hearts into every product, hoping to bring a little bit of our home to yours.
